I watched the video and it was almost as easy as shown. My problem was the installer had not left any slack on the water line or possibly electrical, so I couldn't pull the dishwasher out all the way. This didn't give me complete access to the spring assembly, in particular where the spring attached to the main frame of the dishwasher. I didn't maintain tension on the first side I replaced, when I unhooked the door spring. So, getting the spring attached to the body in the right location was a bit challenging.
On the second side, I maintained tension after I unhooked the spring, so it would not become detached from the dishwasher frame. I slipped on the friction pad with one hand while maintaining tension with the other, and once I had the pad on far enough, I reconnected the spring to the door. Then, I finished locating the friction pad.
All is well! Thanks!
