I have been without water or ice for several months, buying gallons of water each week. A GE repairman told me to try to turn the frig off for 48 hours to allow frozen lines to thaw. I did that and it did not help. Only another option was to replace the door. By the process of elimination, I followed the waterline and found that the flow stopped at the water intake valve. I replaced it in 10 minutes and my problem is fixed.
