The video from appliancepartspros.com showed exactly how to replace the shocks. I took one out and it had no resistance but just flopped loosely, so I ordered a set.
I was able to replace them all from the front, which was nice because the washer was built in and stacked under a gas dryer, which made it difficult to move.
Anyway, the appliancepartspros website and support video really made this possible and saved me from having to buy a new washer.
