I found a tech sheet online for my dryer that allowed me to run diagnostics on my dryer which is rotary knobs and buttons and lights. No digital readout. The dryer was not drying to I wanted to know if it was the heating element or the control board. The diagnostics ruled out the heating element. I picked the control board as the culprit even though not 100% just due to all the other stories I've seen saying replace it. Replaced, problem fixed. No more blinking lights and clothes are drying as before. (There is a problem with the moisture sensor for the "auto dry" modes but that's another story).
