Sherry H Hawthorne , FL March 24, 2015 Appliance: Model TFX27TFS Frost forming around ice chute in freezer then refrigerator not cooling Determined using AppliancePartsPros.com that the ice door assembly needed to be replaced. This flap was allowing warm air to enter the freezer because it was not sealing. Replaced both the ice door assembly and the solenoid. After that the refrigerator still was not cooling. What I neglected to do was make sure the freezer was defrosted. When I took of the back panel in the freezer, the bottom set of coils were one frozen block of ice. This was blocking the airflow to the refrigerator. After defrosting the freezer everything is working great. 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
