I went to the YouTube channel sixtyfiveford "Freezer Not Cooling HOW THEY WORK and REPAIR". I followed him and when I jumpered the Thermometer the compressor would not come on indicating the Thermostat was bad.
I found the part at AppliancePartsPros.com and got it the next day, paying the appropriate shipping cost.
It arrived as planned and took another half hour to install and close up. Great sound hearing the compressor come on. Second time using these guys and I do recommend them.
