Removed cooktop, disassembled to remove old spark module. Discolored potting on high voltage side confirmed failure. Replaced with new updated module. Added earth ground lead to module. Reassembled. Tested. All good now. Half the time was spent cleaning the cooktop and emptying cabinets underneath for access.
