Turn off power to machine, Take off door panel - 12 screws. hold up door panel a bit and make sure to remove the ribbon from the touch pad to the control module (use some pliers to rock it out of the board). Since I was changing the Module, I just removed the 1 screw that held it in place and it gave me some more room to get my hands in there and remove all the wiring freeing up the board to remove the touch pad ribbon last (I didn't want to tear it because I was not replacing it and after 9 years it felt kind of brittle). Plugged everything into the new control Module, held the front of the door up and put in the 12 screws. Make sure to do a factory reset within 2 minutes of turning the power back on to the dishwasher (hold the up and down arrows at same time on the keypad for 3-5 seconds and shut door). the machine will go through a series of 'tests' and initiate the new control module. Download a service manual (google your model # and service manual - good to have for this project so you can see where screws are located etc.) and it will have a page dedicated to this and you can follow along so when it gets to the stage where it turns on the water heater you can hit a button to advance to the final step - drain.. if not that cycle will last for 50 minutes.. if not you can just wait until it finishes and your machine will be good to go.
