Purchased flood control valve which solved the problem.
A tip...in the Appliance Parts Pros video showing how to install the part it notes that the wire leads for the power plug under the valve are short and if you drop the plug it will end up somewhere under the dishwasher and be hard to retrieve. Before disconnecting the plug from the valve I took a long twist tie and wrapped it around the wires and tied one end to the nearby heating coil. This way if the plug was dropped it couldn't fall too far and would be easy to pull back into position.
