My son made the repairs. Our refrigerator was making a loud and ugly sound when activating the water dispenser. We tried changing the water filter, thinking that was the problem, but that only made it worse. My son figured out the head assembly was the problem. While he was at it, he also replaced the water control valve. He believes hard water caused the head assembly to start malfunctioning. It did not take him long to finish the repair.
