Installed new heating element. The element is secured by two nuts from the outside of the washer tub, so I had to pull the washer out to get access to the rear outside of the tub. Once it was out, the part replacement was very straightforward, and it worked fine and didn't leak afterward. I had also ordered a couple rubber washers with the heating element, thinking they weren't included. But there were new washers already on the element.
