I had another element replaced about a year ago by an electrician. I just followed what he did and I replaced it myself in about an hour. The part has a strange clip holding it to the bottom of the stove. Once figured out, it was easy to put the new element in. CAUTION: disconnect power before doing this kind of work. And take photos of the wiring patterns.
