I contacted the online chat and the problem was confirmed that the controller board was fried.
i received the new part in 2 days and the installation took less than 5 minutes.
the freezer is now working and I saved $800.00 by not having to buy a new freezer. the freezer was only 4 years old. i am going to install a surge protector for the freezer now.
