Tom A Hampden , MA February 25, 2017 Appliance: Model MICROWAVE 1870 (GE) The hinge for the vent on the microwave broke away from the plastic I removed the old vent (two screws). Looked at the new vent piece to examine how it clipped in. Tabs along the bottom had broken on the old one so it required sliding the unit in to get the tabs to engage. However the screw slipped on the top move as you slide it in and as one should have expected, one fell down into no man's land. Fastened the top with larger screws and all is well.
