First I removed the 2 screws holding the ice maker to the roof of the freezer and slid the maker out. Then I slid the tray tipping motor out of the maker assembly while depressing the holding tab. With that the old cracked tray came out of it's mounting hole and I reassembled the whole thing in reverse order.
