For problem #1, I ordered the ice door repair kit and installed. The how-to video was very helpful, however, a bit more clarity on placement of the putty knife during the removal of the face piece would be helpful. I struggled with this step, largely, because I was inadvertently placing the putty knife flush against the freezer door, which was the mount itself and not the decorative face piece. Parts fit perfectly and I can hear the door close soundly now. Time will tell if the icing issue is fully resolved. For problem #2, I ordered a replacement overflow grille and replaced the old stained piece. It really brought up the appearance of my 14Yo side-by-side!
