From looking at YouTube videos, I realized that replacing my refrigerator’s ice maker was easy. To remove the old ice maker, I removed the upper drawer from the freezer section (refrigerator has refrigeration section on top and freezer drawer below), removed two screws, pulled the old ice maker loose, disconnected the power harness and removed the assembly. Installation of the new ice maker took only a couple of minutes to reverse the procedure. The head of the Phillips screws holding the old ice maker stripped, so removing that screw and finding a replacement took a few minutes. Once the new ice maker is installed, you have to be patient and wait several hours for it to fill and make ice. Also, remember to turn the water supply off when starting and on when complete.
