Ordered the water valve kit. I watched the YouTube video prior to ordering the part and read customer reviews along with faq. Seemed easy enough and it was.
Turned out the valve I replaced was configured and looked the same as the new one and only needed to cut the inlet tube to fit.
I did need to remove the fill tube and soak it in hot water to remove the ice plug that was stuck in it but replacing the valve was no big deal.
My ice maker is now making ice again and not plugging the fill tube any longer.
