I "assumed" problem was water valve in 18 year old fridge. Replaced water valve, still no ice.
Replacement was relatively easy - 30 minutes. Called techs at APP for advice. Extremely helpful & sent diagnostic procedure to be followed to determine if issue is ice maker or water valve. (Note to file: do this first!)
Followed simple procedure & determined issue was ice maker. Replacement on order.
I STRONGLY recommend calling the tech team for advice rather than "assuming" anything. They are the best. Won't consider purchase appliance repair parts anywhere else!
