Checked the internet to see what the recommended fix was based upon my model # and the problem I was having. I eventually ended up at the appliance parts pros websites video showing how to remove the ice maker and change it out with a new one. When I contacted appliance parts pros via chat on their website they quickly confirmed that this part would fit my model. So I ordered the replacement ice maker and kept my fingers crossed feeling 99% positive that I had diagnosed the problem - that the old ice maker had bit the dust.
When I called my local Frigidaire parts dealer I was told that the replacement part would cost $138 plus tax and they wouldn't allow me to return the part unless the new part was found to be defective.
