Ken B Duluth , GA January 12, 2016 Appliance: Model LCF21770ST Ice maker water flooded the freezer then the floor running unimpeded Replaced the Ice Maker. At first I thought the issue was the water input solenoid valve. But eventually determined the ice maker sends power signal to the input solenoid valve, so replacing the bad ice maker was the cause. I learned appliances can be very modular and so you don't have to be an expert to swap out a bad part. In my case it was 3 simple screws and a electrical plug to fix. Good advice and online videos to help. And saved some money! Other good advice is to buy some cheap floor water sensors, to avoid major water damage. 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
