We replaced the entire burner as the small metal igniter holder on the bottom of the burner was rusted, disintegrating and impossible to remove. This fix would have been easier if the screws holding on the burner were not rusted and subsequently broke. All the WD40 in the world would not remove a rusted, broken screw. Lucky one removed without breaking and replaced with a stainless screw as should have been in the first place. If they were stainless at manufacture they would have not rusted/broke and this repair would be a breeze. But if the screws were stainless this repair would have not been needed. Use WD40 before attempting this repair. Replace screws with stainless.
