Brian W Del Rio , TX July 12, 2015 Appliance: Model 796.2927 Kenmore washing machine died only 4 years old After online research and a little checking on the machine, it was determined that it was the Main Control Unit (PCB). This is a great machine and only about 4 years old. It's original cost was about $800 on a Black Friday. A service call would have probably put the repair at around $300-$350. That causes you to weigh in on whether or not to buy a new one, but less expensive--who wants to pay $800+ every 4 years? Right? With your part, total cost was $150. I ordered it on July 3rd (Sat), and it arrived Friday, July 10. Within 30 minutes, the washer was back together and running.
