Installed new thermostat as suggested by others and it worked beautifully! It was easy to do too. Just pulled out the range from the wall; taking care to not crimp the gas line. Switched the gas valve to the off position and unplugged the unit from the wall outlet. Then I took off the back panel and quickly found the old thermostat. Replaced the thermostat, but before putting the panel back in place, I plugged in the unit and turned on the gas valve to make sure it worked. The oven door unlatched and the front touch panel turned on! It's working fine now!
