Thomas A Delray Beach , FL April 24, 2019 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KDFE304DBL0 Kitchenaid Dishwasher Kdfe304dbl0: Had a leak coming from the bottom of the diverter motor where a plastic shaft that passes through a rubber grommet in the bottom of the sump. How to replace Diverter Motor. The grommet needed to be replaced but, unfortunately, Whirlpool requires replacement of the entire sump. So I purchased a new sump, a new diverter motor (even though the old one was still working but had signs of water damage) and 2 hose clamps since the originals could not be reused. The video on the AppliancePartsPros web site was extremely helpful and explained the entire process from start to finish. I consider myself to be moderately handy and I had no problem making the repair. I probably spent about 1 hour on the disassembly and another 1.5 hours on the re-assembly including time to clean some of the old parts before putting them back. 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
