I had to remove the entire external water/ice dispenser, then unplug and remove the control panel. That allowed me to unplug the heated ice chute door and remove the single screw that held it in place. The problem was the ice chute door lever that connected with the operating solenoid had broken. The new part fit perfectly and the whole unit was fixed in about 30 minutes.
