Replaced with new lower bake element, simple fix, removed 2 screws, removed wires, carefully ensured the wires didn’t fall into the oven, then put new element in. Excellent instructions and video, perfect fit. Oven was Hotpoint from the 1970’s new element was exactly right works great again.
