Ordered and received the baking and broiling heating elements. Being a 32 year old oven, I just decided to replace both elements and go for another 32 years.
Removing the elements was somewhat difficult since I did not want to remove the oven from the cabinet. I removed the screws that held the elements in the oven only to find out that the joining wires were quite short. I could not pull out the elements more than about 2 inches from the wall. This made unscrewing the wires from the elements very difficult due to space restrictions.
After about and hour of struggling, I found my "stubby" 3 inch phillips screwdriver and the process was much easier.
The entire job took me about 2.5 hours. If I would've used my "stubby", it would have taken about 45 minutes.
It's up and running; and I get my cherry pie.
