I was able to identify the timer as the problem by logic and by the video at AppliancePartsPros.com. The parts diagram helped as well as the pictures. I replaced the timer and was able to see that it would allow me to make the dryer operate but then I saw the cracks in the mounting slot of the control knob. Another order and I bought the part of the knob I needed to complete the repair. Both parts were delivered with amazing speed and the repair was fairly simple once I had the parts.
