Using the diagnostics in the web site that said to replace the block, I did that and the spanner nut. The rust and corrosion under the 1.5 year old Maytag tub was impressive. Cleaned up best poss, reassembled and used for less than a week before banging around started again. (the unit was level and the four feet were on the floor) That unit is now in the side yard awaiting the recycle truck. Found an old school Maytag washer that works like a champ for a whole lot less money. Does a better job in less time than the "energy efficient" one ever did.
