James B Longwood , FL March 06, 2015 Microwave door handle broke Per one of the videos I watched, you had to remove the microwave door. I removed the screws per the video. When prying off the panel, I found that by using two screw drivers placed an inch or two from the corners on each side, I could pry up the corners without breaking any pieces. Also, to remove the screws from the broken handle, you will need to hold the broken piece on the front with pliers. Before doing this, I recommend covering the door front around the screw with masking tape as it is very likely pliers could slip off and scratch the front door. Installing the new handle and re-assembly was simple and straight forward. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
