The part is the 3rd one I have used to repair GE washers that have this problem. The old bracket is 3 pieces and allows the cabinet collapses on itself allowing the motor and belt to drag/rub on the metal bottom of the washer. Most of the washer needs to come apart to replace this part.
It takes less and less time for every one of these I repair.
