Just a wife trying to find the most economical way to dry clothes. The pricing of the new washer and dryer set is more than I want to spend. Looked online for videos regarding dryer diagnoses and repair. Came upon AppliancePartsPros.com videos which were easy to understand. Went to the site and ordered the parts recommended for my dryer.
The dryer had multiple problems which included loud rumbling, marks on clothing, and no heat. Purchased the Dryer Repair Kit, Dryer Thermal Fuse, Dryer Heating Element and Drum Felt Seal.
Followed the instructions on the videos for 3 of the items. There was no video for the Dryer Heating Element but was able to find videos for replacing the Dryer Heating Element which gave me some ideas on what to do.
Let it be known that there was a LOT of vacuuming after opening the dryer up. One roller was completely missing from its proper place and was found at the bottom of the dryer in pieces along with dimes, pennies, and quarters. When checking the heater element there appears to be breaks in the coil. The Drum Felt Seal had only 1 seal in the package, so replace the worst of the 2 dryer seals, which was the one in the front of the dryer.
All items were installed successfully and happy to report the dryer is working excellently.
