Replaced upper and lower wash arm bushings(bearings), AND removed the articulated vent assembly and replaced the wax motors(old one no longer worked).
The technical manual says to use a screw driver to remove the vent louver. This is true on a NEW washer; the old one has that louver practically welded on. I made a fixture to rotate the louver without breaking it as many parts are no longer available. The rest of the repair was academic.
Washer is as quiet as the day I bought it; the main culprit was the radial bearing as it was missing the flange.
