After much searching for the cause of the random orange/rust-looking marks on my clothing, I finally found (somewhere) that it was coming from the felt edges on the dryer drum. It is the orange-colored adhesive that was breaking down after many years of use. The repair was easy but time-consuming as you have to take the entire machine part to remove the drum and replace the felt seals. My machine was similar to the one in the video, but not quite. It was a bit challenging to disconnect the control panels on my machine but doable with much patience and some help from a friend. Since I was taking the machine apart already, I changed out the rollers and the moisture sensors. Putting it back together, the foam seal around the door panel area completely disintegrated.
