This is a simple repair, which took me about 1/2 hour to accomplish. First I had to unplug the appliance and slide it away from the wall slightly to gain access the rear electrical cover plate, and then disconnect the wire nuts connecting the old igniter. To remove the igniter, I removed the oven racks, lower interior oven panel, flame diffuser, and a small metal cover above the igniter. The igniter was held with two screws. Installation was just a matter of feeding the wires of the new igniter through the hole to the rear of the oven, making the connection with wire nuts, and reassembling everything like it was. No need to disconnect the gas line, but to be safe, I checked the connections for leaks after sliding the appliance back into position. The only tools required were a Philips screwdriver, 3/8" and 5/16" nut drivers, and wire cutter/stripper.
