John R In-Indianapolis , IN September 09, 2023 Appliance: Model LG LFCS25426S/00 2 problems. Condensation between 2 doors. Mullion heater defective and very easy to replace and noisy evaporator fan. Removed 2 screws from mullion strip heater and slid it up off the tabs at top and bottom. Unhooked the plug and removed it. Verified proper mullion heater and then plugged wiring connection back together, positioned slide clips back in line and slid mullion down onto the clips. Tucked the wiring back into opening positioned cover back in place and reiinstalled the 2 screws. It took about 10 minutes for the entire job. the 2nd problem was a noisy evaporator motor and is a more intense repair but if you are mechanically inclined it is not a bad job. There are 2 screws that hold the tray in the freezer door that are located at the front of the slide rails. remove them, lift out the top tray and then raise up the main tray from the rear and remove it. The door assembly should lift up. remove it. Also there are 3 screws each in the lower door glides and 2 screws in the upper that have to be removed. The lower left slide has a plug for the light that has to be disconnected. there are 2 screws that hold the ice maker in place and 2 tabs that that have to be released on the sides with a flat screwdriver. Remove the icemaker. On the back cover there is a screw on the top left on a cover that has the fan plug behind it, unplug it. The rear cover will then be able to removed by gently pulling from the top and releasiing it . there is also a sensor that needs unplugged on the top right side before you can remove the back cover. the fan is held iinplace with 2 screws and is very easy to remove. take picture of the routing of the wiring and make sure it goes back the same way. You will need a small wire tie since you have to cut the old one. Once the fan is removed, there are 2 rubber end pcs that have to be on the new fan so make sure you get them back on where they belong. Reinstall in the reverse order and it is not a very hard job. it took me about 30-40 minutes to do the entire job. 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
