The original try was a cheap piece of junk that Whirlpool should have bever used. In 4 years it cracked in serveral places and leaked all over the floor during the defrost cycle. To remove the cracked tray, I followed the instructional video and patched up and replaced the defective tray and ordered a replacement. When the replacement arrived, I was surprised how much better the quality of the new try was, it was made of a thicker plastic. I did not follow the video to replace it this time which saved me some time. I tilted the refrigerator back and proped up the front of each side with two 2x4's behind the front wheels. I then took off the front vent cover and the water filter. I then used a socket to remove the front left screw holding the front frame together and was then able to pull the old tray right out and slip the new try in without and problems. I then folded the metal holding brackets to lock the pan into place.
