I visited youtube as I am known to do in an attempt resolve the SE issue with my microwave. I viewed a video which resolved the SE problem. I had removed the control panel and as I was watching the video the consumer examined the circuit board and found that it was shorting and causing the SE error. I looked at my panel and I had the same problem he described. I don't know the name of the item but it was bent over making contact with another item on the board causing the short. I straighten it and reassembled my panel and it worked for a week. My unit has displayed SE many times since. After receiving a replacement control panel membrane And installing it Its only been 2 days but I have not gotten the dreaded SE code.
