We found some videos online that led us to suspect the Thermal Cutoff Switch. And sure enough after some testing determined it was bad. All I needed was the thermal fuse/switch, not all the other parts that came with this kit, but that bugger is hard to find. So very happy to buy this whole kit just for the fuse. Now the dishwasher is working like a champ. Plus I'll probably be able to re-purpose the other parts in the kit for other household or RV repairs.
One note... the thermal fuse both the old and new were VERY difficult to remove from their clips. But did eventually loose.
Box below asks me to indicate what tools I used. I do also have a volt-ohm meter which helped a lot in determining the switch was bad and also that no other component along the way to the fuse was also bad.
I **LOVE** the "maker's creed" , if I can't fix it then I don't really own it. Also love the fact that a repairman might have charged $100 - $200 more or might have just opted to replace the whole circuit board instead of taking the small amount of time to find the $10 part that needed replacing.
