Project video glossed over MANY difficult issues, like panel removal and residual waste water draining all over the place.
The most difficult part was the fact that the replacement part is a newer revision with additional drain hose not present in the original part. New condensate hose is a much larger size than the available nipple on my older appliance. Was able to adapt it by using two zip ties to compress the hose, but it is not a tight fit.
The newer part also contains a hard plastic U that will NOT lay flat. Older appliance does not have retainers to hold the drain hoses in place, meaning that I had to add more zip ties to hang the hoses. The plastic U can only be held flat by the dishwasher panel, making it bulge outward and make inserting into the cabinet slot that much more difficult.
Doable but nowhere near as simple as portrayed.
