John G Bel Air , MD February 09, 2015 The inner stainless tub on my fromt load washer was rubbing to the point of smoking ans wobbled when you pushed on it I went online and, by inputting my washing machine model and make, found a tutorial of how to replace the part I felt was the issue. I put my laptop on the dryer and went step by step (I used the pause button a lot) disassembling my washer. When the final parts were removed, I found that the spider was cracked - the spider is the back support on the inner tub. I ordered a new on online and had it 2 days later. I put the laptop back on the dryer and followed the reassembly step by step process until the machine was back together. The part cost $102.00 including shipping and I probably saved about $300.00 to $400.00 in labor costs. The entire job took about 3 hours. My machine runs like new.
