Chatted with APP.com rep.
Described issue and recommendation was made to replace the motor control board for $264.
I responded by saying I was hesitant to spend that much cash and not be 100% certain.
APP rep then supplied the technician trouble shooting manual for my model washer.
I used that manual to find the fault code and then ran all self tests.
In the end only a single fault code was generated by all the tests.
The fault code was over current which was either the motor or motor control board.
Technician manual flowchart said to measure resistance of the motor and if ok then its the MCB.
So that's what it was. Bought it and it was here the next day. Installed in a couple hours and works like a champ.
