James B Centreville , VA May 27, 2017 Suspension spring broke and had to be replaced Removed top of washer (four screws and two places to pry it off), removed clip that covers top of spring (two screws) and reattached those 2 screws without the clip, slid plastic covers onto the ends of the spring, attached bottom of spring to tub, had a helper lift the tub, tried and failed to attach top of spring to support (tension was too great). Slid two screw driver blades between top of spring and support to hold it up while pushing the top into place. Removed the two screws to reinstall the clip, then reattached them. Reinstalled top of washer and screwed in the four screws. 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
