Initially i took the sensor out and cleaned it, amazed by how much information including visors available on the Internet. That didn't make any difference so ordered a new sensor. Ordered it Sunday evening and it arrived Wednesday lunch time. It must be that this sensor is considered a "consumable" as everyone seems to sell them. It's easy to access at just inside the back access panel and two screws and a electric wire connector to disconnect. This really is as simple as a repair can get. No washing machine for 4 days in a house full of two teenagers both doing sports in Texas heat and the pressure was on to get this right, if it wasn't the sensor it could be the control board and days more waiting on parts. After connecting the sensor, boxed it back up and turned on the power.... Hey presto it worked. All good and backlog of laundry all done.
