First and foremost, much thanks to APP for perfect transaction, and incredible price!
The part was shipped quickly, and arrived fast. Immediate Availability of the part was outstanding, and truly saved this Canadian's day! See, in Canada, LG has their own unfair practice of NOT ALLOWING a Canadian citizen to purchase ANY functional parts for any of their appliances or products... furthermore, in order to get the part for any issue, you must pay directly for an LG direct service tech to come at an inflated mandatory inspection fee (range in the $250 mark for 1 hr inspection) just to 'look' at the appliance to tell you what is wrong, then ONLY THEY CAN ORDER THE PART (they do not even allow LG certified sales, distributors & certified 3rd party service technicians to order their parts!) yes, it is true! Then the LG direct service must be the one who works on it to receive the part... etc. This is the most insane, ultimate BS business practice I have ever encountered and should be illegal/outlawed. I am a competent, self-servicing consumer who can inspect and repair everything I own including my own home and automobiles. How dare LG put in place ability to order functional parts to an entire country!
Just an FYI - I also discovered that it was MUCH easier than the online Youtube videos to replace this part on the washer. Forget all the panel removals, accessing from the rear, disconnecting all the hoses etc. Just turn all the water off, jack up and block up the washer (SAFELY) with a decent amount of underside access (I had a few cedar 6x6 longer posts as 'shims'/blocks to lift it up off floor) and you can easily reach in with channel lock pliers and screw/nut drivers to disconnect the clamps and remove the hose. DO NOT REACH UNDER UNLESS SAFELY BLOCKED UP. Reattaching new hose was quick too. Lifting up and safely blocking the washer was 15min, removing hose 5 min, new hose installation 10, and safely lowering the washer back down was 15min. 45 min total working time.
