The owners manual led me through the steps to be able to find the defective part. A multimeter confirmet the problem. The problem was a result of lint build up in duct work near the blower , which shouild have been cleaned out by the Sears repairmen during his annual service visit. He didn't do his job. The fuse was a $15 part and simple to replace. I cleaned out the duct work by removing four hex screws in a 5 minute extra job.
