Barry W Cheyenne , WY April 11, 2017 Appliance: Estate Dryer TEDS840JQ0 Estate Dryer Teds840jq0: The thermal fuse was bad i suspected the push to start relay might be bad. How to replace Dryer Thermal Fuse. I troubleshot it by looking at the wiring diagram I found under the control panel. I suspected the door switch. I watched a video on how to replace it which helped me get access to it and test it with a multimeter. I watched a video on the push to start switch. Testing it was a little vague. So, I ordered that part. I found in the comments a guy who did the same and then after replacing the part and it still didn't work replaced the thermal fuse. So, I tested the thermal fuse and it failed (no continuity). So, I added that part. I watched the video on that part. I replaced the part in a few minutes. I read comments about the thermal fuse failures. So, I cleaned out the lint tube that had a lot of lint in it...along with the motor blade area, the heating element intake tube. I tested the machine and it worked. I decided to replace the push to start rather than storing it for a decade or losing money returning the part. 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
