Janet M San Antonio , TX September 28, 2021 Tip of strike broke off in door. Squeezed tip and removed. Needed new latch that is on swing door I ordered the strike assembly and at my age 80 years of age waited a couple of days before I decided to install it. I unplugged the washer cord first, then used a hand drill to remove the two screws holding the strike. I used a small standard head screwdriver to pry the side of the strike out, so I could grab it more easily and pull it out of the slot. Placed new strike in the hole and screwed back in with drill The time used was 5 minutes. WORKED PERFECT! Doing laundry now. Janet M. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
