Steps to repair as follows
Check lid switch for proper continuity (on plug to main harness)
If lid switch good, timer suspect
Confirm timer diagnosis by using ladder-logic diagram included with the washer. Use jumper wires on the harness that plugs into the timer. Configure the jumpers such that the switching invokes the drain cycle. If cycles can be initiated via jumper wires on harness, timer is bad
Replace time
Check for proper operation
